Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a famous Indian actress, best known for her performances in the film Beta Saajan as well as Hum Aapke Haiin Koun..! In the late 80s, she began her acting career and became well-known for the character Tezaab which she played with an established actor Anil Kapooor. In her next film Dil, Aamir Khan appeared as well. Early on, as a child growing up in Mumbai's middle-class, she started to dance. In her early years, when she started to act as a child actress, most of the films she created weren't successful. Then, she discovered success in Indian filmmaking and rose to the top. Following her wedding, she took a brief time off from her acting career prior to returning. In recent years, Dixit had a major role to play in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit is nominated in fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these she's received 8. Padma Shri - the fourth most prestigious civilian award of India awarded to Dixit. Her social work is also well-known.
